“Hereford lost their 2nd round FA Trophy match 1 - 0 away against National South Wealdstone”
Played 10: Home wins 2; Draws 4; Away wins 4 - goals 28
It may have been a frustrating day for Slough Town given that the match at St. Ives Town was the only game in the entire Southern League programme to be called off. However of the top Premier teams playing today only outsiders Tiverton Town gained all three points, winning 0 - 5 away to basement boys Gosport Borough.
Kettering Town, following Rebels recent lead, conceded a 92nd minute equaliser to draw 1 - 1 at home against relegation threatened Kings Langley; while King's Lynn Town (away to Frome Town) and Weymouth (away to Stratford Town) were both held to goalless draws.
Royston Town (away to Dunstable Town) and Banbury United (away to Bishop's Stortford) recorded 0 - 5 victories; while Dorchester Town, Slough's midweek opponents, gained their fourth consecutive league home win without conceding - they won 1 - 0 against Redditch United.
Other results: Chesham United 4 - 1 Basingstoke Town; Farnborough 2 - 2 Merthyr Town; Hitchin Town 0 - 1 Biggleswade Town
So Rebels now drop to 8th place, but they now have seven games in hand to gain the 15 points needed to go top. Only Hereford are better placed.
