Rebels have yet to lose a match to the Saints. The teams have met in seasons 2011-12 (Southern Central) and seasons 2014-15, 2015-16 and, last season, 2016-17 (all Southern Premier).
Following promotion from United Counties league, St. Neots won promotion from Southern Central at their first attempt with 93 points, pushing STFC into second spot with 87 points, despite Rebels winning both league encounters - home 2 - 0, away 0 - 1. Rebels lost their semi-final promotion play-off match 1 - 2 against Beaconsfield SYCOB.
Rebels subsequently gained promotion themselves with the two teams meeting again in 2014-15 when Slough won 0 - 3 in Cambridgeshire, drawing the home fixture 3 - 3. At seasons end Neots finished 5th and Slough 16th. Saints losing 0 - 1 away against Truro in the promotion play-off final having beaten Poole Town, in Dorset, 1 - 0 in the semi's.
In 2015-16 both league matches ended in draws, 2 - 2 in Slough and 0 - 0 in St. Neots. This time Slough (17th) finished ahead of the Saints (20th) in the final league table.
Last season Rebels finished in 5th place, while Saints, once again, just escaped relegation, finishing in 19th place. Slough recording a 2 - 0 home win, while drawing the away fixture 1 - 1, when Saints equalised with an 88th minute penalty.
