The Puritans were knocked out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round qualifying when beaten 2 - 3 at home by Shildon AFC (Northern league - level 9), having beaten Thatcham Town 2 - 0 , home and Tiverton Town 4 - 2 , home, in the previous two qualifying rounds.
In the FA Trophy they beat Tiverton Town 3 - 2 , at home, in a replay following a 2 - 2 draw in Devon in the 1st round qualifying, then drew 3 - 3 away to Farnborough Town. The outcome of this 2nd round qualifying tie is still undecided as it is under an FA investigation following Farnborough's failure to complete the scheduled replay.
