On a glorious day we travelled the many miles up to Treharris to play against them for the first time. The sun was out and our boys seemed to want to play a great team game and continue our current form and winning ways.
From the kick off our boys chased a good deep kick and piled the pressure on forcing Treharris to kick to clear their lines. From a long kick, Callum Powell collected the ball before jinking his way through a couple of tackles and then releasing Thomas Braund who used a good turn of pace (which Tony can vouch for, LOL....Baywatch say no more) to run around the wide defence to score under the posts, the conversion was kicked by Callum Powell. Treharris 0 - Nanty 7
The next five minutes saw Nanty start to dominate possession and great interplay with forwards and backs using pods from inside and outside Ethan White at 10 saw the Treharris defence sucked in and good quick hands again resulted in Jarrad showing some electrifying pace and strength to break through the last line of defence to score under the posts, Jarad then calmly dispatched the conversion. Treharris 0 - Nanty 14.
From the kick off again Nanty piled on the pressure with Liam Hill, Declan Powell and Rhys Chinn carrying the ball well and making the hard yards, but a turn over saw Treharris break away and try to break our defence out wide when a good tackle by Callum Davies saw one of the Treharris boys falling awkwardly on his arm and dislocating his elbow. This required the ref to rightly abandon the game due to the serious nature of the injury. An ambulance was called and the player was taken to hospital. A big thank you to Scott our first aider who helped to support and comfort the player until the ambulance arrived.....eventually.
We hope that the player recovers quickly from his injury and our thoughts are with him and his family. Get well soon.

Thanks to our boys and their parents, it was a long way to travel for a game of rugby, especially when it lasts less than 10 minutes. Again thanks for your patients and understanding.
Hope to play Treharris again next season.
