Alliance and West Norfolk Leagues take immediate action to safeguard players.

In a rare show of unity, Norfolk's leading cricket leagues have moved to ban Armani Capes from all forms of Norfolk cricket, writes Club News Reporter, Paxman Paxman.

'A cape is an essential part of any player's equipment ,' said a spokesperson. 'However, we have discovered a design fault with the clasp on an Armani cape that could result in players being catapulted backwards if someone pulls at it.'

An extra item banning the Armani capes has been added to the agenda of the NCC committee meeting next Monday (2nd March).

However, players will still be allowed to wear Nike, Gray-Nicholls and Kookaburra capes.
