From the 'Norfolk Chronicle' dated 24th May 1834.
"On Tuesday last, a match of cricket was played in the park of Samuel Tyssen, Esq. of Narborough, between eleven gentlemen of the Norfolk Club and nine players of the parish of Narborough, with two gentlemen of the Swaffham Club, which, contrary to the expectations of both sides, terminated in favour of the latter, who won the game in good style, with 86 runs to spare."
Scores : Narborough 134 and 84, Norfolk Club 62 and 70.
I expect we had two late call-offs, said David.
