The first game of the Sunday league season was met with some serious adverse weather, with temperature not even reaching double figures, and fleeting hail showers.....

However, the game saw no interruptions due to it and both teams batted out their allocated 40 overs.

Pete Crisp won the toss and stuck Terrington into bat. However, the opening bowlers of Ollie Reynolds and Danny King proved unable to find a wicket between them, although Danny King did have a catch dropped. The skilful opening batsman put on a partnership of a 100 before debutant Charlie Steeles was introduced to the mix who took two wickets in an over, trapping the first LBW and having the next caught at mid-wicket.

Matt Steeles was to take the third wicket by run-out with a direct hit from square leg. This was, unfortunately, the last wicket that Narborough were to take for the rest of the innings. Terrington finished on 259-3 off 40 overs. A highly impressive score.

Narborough's innings never really got going and the score always seemed out of reach as wickets continuously fell. Matty Coe top scored with 33 and Matt Steeles finished with a not-out score of 31. Narborough finished on 137-8.
