U13 Match Report
Last Sunday Nenagh welcomed UL Bohs to a wet and wintry Tyone. Conditions underfoot were slippy and testing but were ideal for rugby. Confidence was high following a good win the previous weekend and we started in top gear. We have been working in recent weeks to get our backs moving well and our work is definitely beginning to pay off. We scored a number of good tries, but the most pleasing aspect was how we moved the ball through the hands. Our defensive line, which we are also working on is bearing fruit. This was a good performance, and morale in the camp is high. All the boys are enjoying their rugby, and it is very heartening for the coaches to see the camaraderie and friendship that is developing within the group.
On a day where there many really good performances , there were a number of candidates for man of the match, including John Mulvihill for his first try for the club, number 8 Tristan for his strong running, our mighty winger Robert Dunne for a crunching try saving tackle and Sean Ryan for his general attacking play. I'll sit in the fence and divide it equally!!
Our thanks to UL Bohs for a sporting game of rugby, to Enda Murphy for refereeing the game at late notice, and to our loyal band of supporters and parents who cheered on our boys to the end.
Well done to our head coach Fergal and the senior XV on a fine win on Saturday.
