New Pro unveiled at Parkside Road
After the problems we had last year in getting a Professional at the start of the season, we are pleased to announce the signing of J J Pienaar.
Cobus is a 26 year old South African who plays for Easterns in the Provincial competition and is attached to the Titans franchise team.
He is a left hand bat with a First Class batting average of 33.14 usually batting at 4 and is an occasional opening bowler but generally first change and has 97 wickets bowling right arm medium at 28.87.
He has a highest score of 185 achieved earlier this season. We are delighted to have a keen young player with an excellent pedigree who has had a successful experience over here in the Birmingham Premier League.
John Mason, the new Netherfield captain, is delighted with the capture and is looking forward to a successful partnership with the new Professional, who will try to get here for the pre season Easter weekend cricket friendlies with a club side from the North East who are bringing a party over for 3 games.
The first Northern League match is the following Saturday against champions St Annes at Parkside Road.
