Netherfield's home league clash with Darwen lasted just 11.3 overs before rain ended proceedings for the afternoon.

It was surprising that the game had started following the persistant rain over the past few days.

However after an early morning pitch inspection, the wicket was dry, with full credit going to Club Groundsman Wayne Chorley for getting the pitch ready for the game.

Darwen put Netherfield in, on what were difficult conditions, as the visitors got the early wickets of Chris Parry and Marc Brown!

Chirs Parry was the first to fall after being bowled by Chris Wade for 0.

Marc Brown then fell for 12 after being caught by Zac Whalley off the bowling of Niall Burke.

Cobus Pienaar ended unbeaten on 10 off 19 balls, before the rain swept in!

Both sides did come out and try again, with the game having lost six overs, however as they were about to re start, the rain quickly returned with the game being abandoned at 4pm!

A frustrating afternoon, for both sides, as Netherfield and Darwen take 4 point's each!
