On a cold December afternoon back in 2014.......... (sounds like something from a Christmas story!!!)

The dads of Netherton JFC supported by the Mums and Kids all took to the battlefield of Play football, in the clubs first ever inter team tournament.

Netherton Phoenix U7s Dads (Kev)
*Netherton Phoenix U8s Dads (Lee Haugh)
*Netherton Athletic U7s Saturday (Louise Worrall)
Netherton Athletic U10s Dads (Andy Cureton (not putting my name to these losers)
Netherton Athletic U8s Dads (Stefan Boros)

The teams all played 2 20 minute games with the top 2 from each group going through to the semi finals....

Progressing where Kev, Lee, Louise, and Stefan (with Chris and Andy embarrassing the kids by falling at the first hurdle!! haha)

The games where all played in great spirits with Phil Stanno being the stand out player!!!

In the Semi finals and Final the games continued in great spirits, with a Final of Netherton Phoenix U8s dads vs Netherton Phoenix U7s dads and the battle scene was set!!!

Unfortunately it was a step too far for the U7s and Lee Haugh and his mighty crusaders where crowned Champions with Owen Farrington lifting the trophy on the teams behalf!!!!

A great Occasion for all full of fun and a few bad referee decisions (by me mainly!!)

Deffo something for the yearly calendar but probably in Summer time.
