Squad numbers are again very buoyant with 29 players registering from the outset, this season we decided to look further a field outside of the NLD for more competitive friendly fixtures against the likes of Hinckley, Leicester Forest East, Peterborough and Sheffield etc and to date these fixtures have yielded some very competitive rugby for the squad.

Notably a win over Leicester Forest East (0-10) whom had not been defeated at home in three seasons and never lost a game without scoring a try.

Also, in our first NLD Cup Pool game against Sleaford we won convincingly 5-43 and looking forward to our second NLD Cup Pool game against Spalding at home on the 12th January…

U15's

2013-14 Season is now in full flow with some 26 squad players registered with all players getting some real game time!

The side has not lost this season so far and is through to the NLD U15's Semi final to be played early next year. With 8 players involved in either Notts/Lincs in the Domestic Unions Cup , 6 players involved in DPP and 4 at EPDG , well done to all those involved!

The section plan to tour next year and again will be attending the end of season presentation night.

U16's

Newark’s under 16’s continue, have started the NLD cup campaign off with a win against an impressive Derby side.
Newark ran out winners 27-14.

Newark under 16’s are well represented with the Leicester Tigers DPP set up with over 10 players taking part in the DPP set up.

Of the 9 NLD representative players who have come through the Newark coaching system, 3 Newark players have been selected for Midlands trials on the 15th December.
