History
NEWBRIDGE TIGERS FOOTBALL CLUB was founded late in the year of 2008 when we put together a team to enter the Under 9 age group of the Hull Boys Sunday League. Within a matter of weeks playing numbers grew from just 5 to 18 and the team were ready to go.
In their very first season the team were crowned Under 9 league CHAMPIONS and quickly followed that up by becoming the BSCC CUP WINNERS. With the popularity of the club growing all the time we were forced to start an Under 6 academy which would go on to enter the Under 7 league in the HBSFL. In their very first season the team won the FAIR PLAY award and as with the Under 9's, playing numbers began to grow at this level aswell so much so that we formed a 2nd team at Under 7 level. Weekly training sessions took place in East Park and this saw players of all ages approach the club about joining and once again a further team was added to the club this time at Under 10's.
The club achieved Charter Standard status in 2011 and with it saw the introduction of the clubs first ever girls team, the Tigresses. Right from the very start the girls flocked to join the club and 2012 sees them enter the East Riding Girls League for the very first time.
Season 2012/13 sees yet another Under 7's team come on board as the club grows ever bigger and with news that we have been awarded a huge grant from the Football Foundation things will only go from strength to strength.
