Roberts returns, Morris appointed HoF, Lavin & Wainwright become vice-captains.

New Brighton Villa Football Club are happy to confirm our management structure and captains for the 2022/23 season. Manager Liam Evans will be assisted by former manager Dave Roberts after two years away. Pete Morris has stepped down from his role as assistant manager and will become the club's first Head of Football. Lewis Tudor will continue as captain with Braden Lavin and Sam Wainwright as vice-captains.

Dave returned to the club in March 2022 to assist with the club's coaching staff after time away managing at Brymbo and Hawarden Rangers. Following some time away from football, discussions were held to see whether Dave would entertain a return to the club and to see whether we could re-ignite his love for football again. We are delighted he has decided to continue in his role and his experience and knowledge of the club will be a great asset to the football club once again.

Dave had the following to say about his return to the club, "I'm absolutely delighted to be back at NBV and working with some of my closest friends and a good group of lads once more. There's a real good feel factor at the club and I'm excited to see what the season will bring. UTFY!"

Pete moves to the newly created Head of Football role which will fit in with his new work commitments and schedule. Pete will assist with training sessions and match days but now has a broader range of responsibilities which encompasses the club's off the pitch activities. Pete has already secured the club valuable sponsorship opportunities, which will be revealed in due course, to benefit the players, management and staff at the club going forward. We look forward to working with Pete as we strive to become a Tier 3 compliant club in the near future.

Pete is looking forward to his new role and said, "I'm extremely excited to take on this newly created role at the club. It fits my personal circumstances perfectly and, as a club, we feel this is a role that will benefit us for years to come. UTFY!"

Manager Liam Evans commented on the new management structure and his captains for this season, "I'm delighted to have Dave back onboard as my assistant. It has been great working as a three together again and, since coming back in March, Dave has hit the ground running and has made a positive impact on the group. I also look forward to working with Pete in his new role to help push us on as a football club off the pitch and make sure we're heading in the right direction. I'm also pleased to announce that Braden and Sam will be supporting Tudor this season as vice-captains. They are three people that I trust explicitly and can rely on to lead this group this season."

All at New Brighton Villa Football Club wish Dave, Pete, Tudor, Braden and Sam all best in their new roles for the season ahead. #UTFY
