Blues Rock Dorset Again

Wimborne U15 (7 - 60) Newbury U15

This friendly game proved well worth the long drive on a drizzly morning. Newbury took a large squad to give all our players an opportunity. The team did really well, scoring ten tries, a hat-trick by Jordan Ruddock, a brace apiece from Adam Herd, Adam Foster and Andy Payne and one, from Dylan Stewart, plus five conversions fromTheo Brophy Clews. Wimbledon replied with a single converted try.
With so many tries scored it is a bit pointless to describe them all. Right from the start we were well on top and the game was effectively over after ten minutes.
However the Wimborne forwards put us under a lot of pressure at the set piece, and it was not entirely one way traffic. One player who really stood out for us was George Anderson, who was in the thick of everything and made some big hits in defence.
All in all, a really good performance which showed how much depth we now have in our squad.
