The Committee held a short meeting on Wednesday 29 October 2014, prior to the Financial AGM, when the following matters were discussed:

Thanks were registered to Kim Foster who has agreed to take over as the Club’s Safeguarding Officer.

A starter pack had been received for the ‘England Rugby Grand Draw 14/15’. This potentially is a good fundraiser for the Club and has a 1st prize of £10,000! Louise Goodall has volunteered to act as Coordinator for distributing and selling the tickets. Look out for more information around the Club. .

Regarding the grounds, it is now known that Pitch 5 will be lost before the replacement is ready - the target for the new ‘top’ pitch is September 2015. This will impact on Minis & Juniors (but not on Touch rugby) and discussions are being held with Park House School to use its facilities in the interim.

The Committee is planning to hold periodic ‘Members’ Forums’; the idea being that they are informal, open house Q&A sessions outside of General Meetings when members can come and discuss Club matters.

The first of these will be held before Christmas when all members are invited to meet the Committee for “Mince Pies & Mulled Wine” on Wednesday 10 December: we look forward to welcoming many members from across all sections of the Club. More details to follow.

Date of next Committee meeting - Thursday 20 November
