Newbury Football Club has received a volume of enquiries regarding the redevelopment of the Faraday Industrial Estate and the football club itself. So, here is an update on the current situation and a link to the petition.
Newbury FC was originally informed of the redevelopment of the club, which would commence in 2018. Furthermore, the club would not be replaced. During this same period, the companies down Faraday Road were informed that there would be redevelopment of the site later.
Recently, they have tried to rush through a compulsory purchase order so that they can build a new road into Faraday Road. This was supposed to be approved in a meeting on Tuesday., but after a letter from a solicitor sent to the council regarding the lack of time between the announcement and the meeting, the item has been removed from the agenda.
