10 men Castle reach the quarter final

Newcastle Town reached the quarter final of the Staffs Senior Cup despite playing for 50 minutes with 10 men after Matt Thomas appeared to be harshly dismissed. Castle beat Midland League leaders Sporting Khalsa 3-1 with goals from Sam Wilson, James Askey and Aaron Bott. Castle will now be at home in the quarter final against either Hednesford Town or Lichfield City with the game expected to take place on Tuesday 6th February.
