Constitution 2011

NEW COLLEGE FOOTBALL CLUB CONSTITUTION
1 NAME: The Club shall be called "New College Swindon Football Club" and shall be affiliated to the Wiltshire County Football Association.

2 OBJECTS: Its object shall be to provide Association Football for its members.

3 OFFICERS: The officers shall consist of Chairman, Secretary designated by New College and one other staff or governor member. The role of Treasurer will be undertaken through the Finance section of New College.

4 COMMITTEE: The Club shall be controlled by a General Committee consisting of the Officers and the Club Coaches and Managers. The General Committee shall meet at least once per season or as required and the proceedings at such meetings shall be duly recorded. At meetings of the General Committee three shall form a quorum.

5 ANNUAL MEETING: At the meeting in the summer term there will be a review of all matters relating to the Club.

6 POWERS OF COMMITTEE: The General Committee shall have power to appoint such Sub-Committees as may from time to time be deemed necessary and shall receive reports of such Sub-Committee meetings.
The General Committee shall have power to suspend or expel any member deemed guilty of conduct prejudicial to the good name of the Club.
The General Committee shall have power to fill such vacancies as may arise in its constitution.

7 MEMBERSHIP: The playing membership shall consist of students of New College, ex-students, coaches and managers, and up to a maximum of six other invited members. A register of members of the club shall be kept by the Secretary. All members are subject to the Policies and Procedures drawn up by New College (e.g. discipline, safeguarding , equal opportunites)

8 SUBSCRIPTION: An annual contribution will be made by members of the Football Academy as set in the College Information Sheets for the academic year.

9 FINANCE: The Club shall cause to be kept proper books of account through the New College Finance section and subject to the appropriate regular Audit.

10 ALTERATION TO THE RULES: No alteration in these Rules shall be
made except at the Annual Meeting.

11 OTHER BUSINESS: Any matters not governed by the foregoing Rules
shall be dealt with by the General Committee, the decision of which body shall be final and binding.
