In addition to Newent's Russ Upton and Tom Webb gaining selection to the County U18's squad I've heard that our "Good Polish Prop" Adrian Potnykos has been invited to a residential training camp by the Polish RFU. If all goes well for Adrian, he may be selected for an U18's international against Holland at the beginning of November.
But for injuries and unavailability etc., I believe that several more of last years squad could also have progressed to greater things.
Congratulations to all three lads who have gained this wider recognition and thanks to all players involved last term. They gave us some memorable matches at the rec.
Thanks also to head U18's coach, Ross Webb (who did an amazing job with these boys over many years), to Chris Steward (Lodgey), Brett Gardner and the many people who supported these lads since they started.
