Club Part Company With Roy Soule

The Club wishes to announce the departure of first team manager Roy Soule who has tendered his resignation and leaves with immediate effect.

Everybody connected to the Club would like to thank Roy for his hard work and endeavours over the last three seasons where he has overseen a transition period for The Millers.

Roy has worked tremendously hard with his coaching staff and squad of players to maintain the Club's status in the Evo Stik Northern Premier League through difficult times for him on and off the pitch. Chairman Ray Coverley stated “Roy’s loyalty and efforts during an emotional time last season when he sadly lost his mother shows the man's commitment to the Club and its supporters. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Roy and have personally thanked him for all his hard work and wish him well for the future”

Over the last two seasons, New Mills AFC have been “ tightening its purse strings ” to secure a positive future for The Millers. Last season, the Club finished in a relegation position but due to a reprieve, will remain in the NPL Division One North for the forthcoming season where it plans to continue developing the talented youth players that have come through the ranks over the last couple of seasons and hopefully see that talent progress into the senior team.

New Mills AFC therefore welcomes applications from those people who are prepared to work at continuing the development of the youth players and complementing these with some experienced personnel to secure the Club's position in the Northern Premier League. As a club New Mills AFC have a bright future and have ambitious long term plans to develop its youth structure and playing facilities.

Anyone wishing to apply, should please contact Club Sectetary Sue Hyde and send an accompanying CV to - newmillsfs@yahoo.co.uk
