Millers Remain In NPL For 2015 / 16

Following a meeting of The Football Association’s National League Committee, the Club is pleased to announce that they have been provisionally granted a reprieve from relegation from The Evo Stik Northern Premier League and will remain as members of Division One North for the 2015 / 16 season.

The Millers have benefited from the system of reprieval which works on an average points per game calculation based across the whole non-league pyramid at Step Four as well as the geographical realignment of Clubs between respective Leagues and Divisions.

The provisional Division One North line-up is below and includes newcomers Glossop North End (as Champions Of The North West Counties Football League ) and two demoted sides from The Premier Division, Trafford and Witton Albion -

Bamber Bridge, Brighouse Town, Burscough, Clitheroe, Droylsden, Farsley, Glossop North End, Harrogate Railway Athletic, Kendal Town, Lancaster City, Mossley, New Mills, Northwich Victoria, Ossett Albion, Ossett Town, Prescot Cables, Radcliffe Borough, Scarborough Athletic, Spennymoor Town, Trafford, Warrington Town, Witton Albion

Whilst changes are unlikely, supporters should please be aware that the proposed structure for the 2015 / 16 season is still subject to alteration / appeal and subsequent ratification at The Northern Premier League’s Annual General Meeting in Blackpool on Saturday 20th June.

Should New Mills’s place in The NPL be confirmed, important dates to note are that the competitive season starts on Saturday 15th August with the fixtures expected to be published on and around Friday 17th July.
