The Club would like to send its congratulations to all the riders representing “ Team Deano “ who completed the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride last Sunday.

In excess of one hundred people wore their custom made yellow jerseys with pride as they rode the sixty miles to help raise valuable monies in Dean Morgan's memory for Ashgate Hospice and Blythe House.

This coming Saturday ( 19th July ), Church Lane will be hosting its own tribute to Dean by way of a Family Fun Day with the same two institutions being the recipient of all monies raised on the day.

The main attraction of the afternoon will be a game which will feature the teams from New Mills and Whaley Bridge who contested the 2001/02 Derbyshire Divisional Cup Final in which “ Deano “ himself participated. The Millers manager for the day , Alan Peatfield, has confirmed the following squad of players will be representing the home side –
