The Millers cruised to victory in their opening pre-season encounter of 2018/19, although their young opponents provided a stern test for an hour in front of a large crowd at a sun soaked Church Lane, as revellers celebrated the Beer and Gin Festival along with the first action of the summer.

With the scores level at half-time The Millers, made up mainly of trialists, pulled away in the latter stages of the contest and the 5-1 score line represents a pleasing first outing for Gareth Cross and Nick Dowse's side.
