Newport Pagnell Town manager Darren Lynch on their 4-2 win at Whitworths:
"Tonight was one of those games where we had to toughen it out and grind the result out, all credit to my players as they only had 24 hours rest and against a physical Whitworths team and got the 3 points and kept us unbeaten!
The first half I have to shoulder most of the blame for our slow start as I changed formation and it didn't work allowing them to have the upper hand & rightfully take the lead. We got a get out of jail card just before half time when Fazel Koriya scored a screamer and we changed a few things at the break and we came out and played more like ourselves, another 2 goals from Luke Emery & one from Taylor Orosz gave us the win and put us top.
We won't get carried away though and our concentration now is on Rothwell on Tues night in the cup.
Fair play to Whitworths they are a good side and will cause a few upsets this season!"
