Newport Pagnell assistant Daren Dykes on their 8-0 win over Huntingdon

On Saturday we entertained Huntingdon Town FC off the back of our best performance........

Newport Pagnell assistant Daren Dykes on their 8-0 win over Huntingdon:
"On Saturday we entertained Huntingdon Town FC off the back of our best performance in a while in the quarter final of the Berks & Bucks Senior cup away at Windsor FC, winning 3-1.
Our league form sadly hasn't been as good with two of our worst displays of the season against Yaxley & Market Harborough losing both.
We needed a reaction to get our league form back on track & thankfully it came with our biggest win of the season. Huntingdon played a very high defensive line all afternoon something I'm sure the new gaffer will address. We fully took advantage of this tactic although we was disappointed not to add any further goals with their keeper pulling off some great saves & had we timed our runs or the lads passed a bit quicker we could have.
Dom Lawless scored a superb hat trick & is looking very very sharp in front of goal at the moment. The other goals were from Fazel x2, Edgy on his full debut, Thorpey & an own goal.
The most pleasing thing about the win was our movement & short passing, something that has been missing in the previous 2 league outings.
Next Sat we are at home to Northampton Sileby. Come on you Swans!"
