After recording their first point of the new season last Saturday, Newport Pagnell Town's league campaign continues at pace when they travel to Long Bucky for a Tuesday night encounter under the lights.
Darren Lynch's men drew 0-0 at home last Saturday with Stewarts & Lloyds Corby which saw the Swans gain their first point so far this season. However, with the FA Cup win the week before, the Men in Green will take huge confidence from having kept clean sheets in the past two games. The game at Long Buckby this Tuesday will be the perfect platform to build on those recent assured performances.
Swans games at The Bucks' Station Road ground in recent years have been lively encounters and this season promises to be no different. The Northamptonshire side are also looking to record their first win of the campaign having drawn their opening two games before suffering a heavy 5-0 home defeat on Saturday against league-leading Spalding United.
This game is the start of a huge week for Newport as next Saturday (August 31st) sees them in the FA Cup Preliminary Round at Kings Langley. Coincidentally, Kings Langley were the team who dispatched Long Buckby from the famous competition in the previous round. Details of the forthcoming cup encounter will be published here from Wednesday.
Before then, lets get behind the Lads for their short journey to Long Buckby on Tuesday night. The address to the ground is detailed below so come along and sample Swans football on the road. If you can't make it there, updates will be live on our official Twitter feed (@nptfc).
Come on you Swans!
