Swans manager Darren Lynch on their 2-1 win at Daventry Town:
"Today we faced a massive test away to an inform daventry town on a very heavy & soft pitch.
It was great to be back in the dugout after my suspension and amongst the boys again, after having dropped big points over the xmas period I was looking for a reaction from the squad and I defiantly got it.
We started really well and pressed them high up the pitch causing them a lot of problems which led to 2 really good chances that we failed to take.
They then took the lead against the run of play when a corner came into our box and a header was deliberately handballed on the line by Taylor Orosz, red card and a penalty which the converted.
I was still confident we could grab something from the game as we were still on top and playing really well, Tom Liversedge scored a great goal in injury time of the first half to take us into the break at halftime.
We came out the 2nd half with the same intensity and were creating half chances that again we failed to take against an out field player in their goal due to an injury.
Then with 15 mins to go we were down to 9 men after Dave Baker was sent off for a 2nd booking and I thought we were going to struggle but with 7 mins to go a great pass from Greg Ling sent Fazel Koriya through one on one with their keeper and he finished with a great little chip over him. We defended for our lives for the remaining mins and lengthy injury time in where they went down to 10.
It wasn’t a dirty game but the ref got all the key decision right, I’m delighted with the result but most of all the performance from every single player in the matchday squad. We go again on Tuesday night!"
