The Swans Daren Dykes on their 1-0 win at Harborough:
"Yesterday we travelled to Market Harborough off the back of a good home win vs Oadby.
Conditions yet again turned it into more of a battle than a football game! 1st half we played uphill & against the wind & was largely camped in our own half defending superbly & dealing with everything Harborough threw at us. Myself & Lynchy spoke during the half & knew if we weathered the storm & got in at half time 0-0 we would go on to win the game.
Second half we came out & dominated the rest of the game although only carving out a few chances. Market Harborough defended resolutely for large spells & it wasn't until the 87th minute we finally broke them down. Greg Ling sending in a superb free kick for Sam Oneill to volley in at the far post. We had another chance to score just after. Darryl Wilson played Josh Crawley in with the keeper making a great save tipping the ball onto the underside of the bar & bouncing out. Speaking to fans after apparently it was about a foot over but luckily the decision played no part in the final outcome although Josh was pretty pissed off! haha!
In previous seasons we have played Market Harborough they have always been down the bottom end of the table. We knew coming into the game though this was a different side & they was on a good run so knew it would be a battle. They have a very young, very well organised side who will only get stronger as the season goes on. I was very impressed with them & as always their hospitality was top notch.
Boxing Day is derby day as we host Kempston. Should be a great day all round with a sell out crowd. Come on you Swans! "
