Tuesday Night Football: Swans host Wellingborough

5 years ago By Ben Sharpe

After a 6 goal thriller at Willen Road on Saturday, Swans are again at home this Tuesday night when they face Wellingborough Town.

With very little time to let the dust settle after Saturday's last-gasp heroics, Newport Pagnell Town are in league action again this Tuesday night (17th September).

Saturday saw the Swans fight back from 3-1 down against Desborough to draw the game 3-3 with the equalising goal coming deep into injury time.

Willen Road will be looking to witness even more thrilling football on Tuesday with the visit of Wellingborough Town who currently lie 8th in the table after 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses from their first 6 league ties this season.

Last season saw these two teams split the points head-to-head with the Doughboys taking the points at Willen Road but Newport would reverse the return game with a 2-0 win at the Dog & Duck.

The Swans are still looking for their first league win of this campaign but the team, management and supporters alike will be buoyed by the fighting spirit and the impressive attacking football they displayed Saturday.

If you are new to Willen Road and Swans football, or are thinking of making a first visit on Tuesday night, you could well be in for a treat. The Green and Majestic Surroundings become even more impressive under the lights in what is a great, friendly place to watch football.

So come along Tuesday night and cheer on the Swans as they look to climb up the UCL Premier Division table.
