Newsome Panthers encourage development of individuals in the running of the club in attendance at relevant courses ran by the various sports bodies.
These courses are run locally in the Huddersfield area generally by the local authority or "Coach UK".
West Yorkshire Sport, one of our partners, are involved with partial funding of these courses.
Rugby Coaching - Schools...
Newsome Panther currently coach in a number of junior schools in the locality of the club base. The purpose of this coaching is to introduce children to the rugby skills of catching, carrying, passing and avoidance.
This is in partnership with the "School Sports Co-ordinator" programe.
The children are made aware of the exit routes into Newsome and other rugby clubs in the Huddersfield area.
Any school interested in hosting coaching sessions, should contact the clubs development officer.
