West Riding League Teams to Apply to Yorkshire Junior League
Many West Riding teams/clubs to apply for membership of the Yorkshire Junior League.
Following a emergency called meeting on Thursday 26th January, by the West Riding League Management, the delegates from member clubs were informed that due to teams and clubs deciding to apply for membership of the summer based Yorkshire Junior League, that the league could not operate any competitions for the U12/13 and 14 age groups going forward due to the lack of teams.
They will coninue to run the league and fixtures at U8-U11 age groups and will continue as part of the Yorkshire Combination League at U16-U18 ages.
This follows on to a similar situation with the U15 last September.
Senior members of the Yorkshire Junior League attended the meeting later and answered questions from the floor and advised clubs of how to apply for membership.
On behalf of Newsome Panthers, we will welcome some of the teams/clubs that we have had good relationships with in the past.
Moldgreen, Lindley, Siddal have applied as clubs to YJL
West Craven and Littleborough applied as clubs to NWC.
U14 Teams Wyke, Hoyland, Sheffield, West Bowling,Farnley Falcons
U13 Teams Underbank, Slaithwaite, West Bowling, King Cross Park, Queensbury, Ovenden, Brighouse Rangers
