A hat-trick of tries from centre Ralph Wood helped Newton Abbot U13s secure a comfortable 29-0 victory at Topsham.
The first half saw the All Whites dominate with a controlled display in the tricky, windy conditions and their pressure was rewarded with two scores from Wood which gave them a 10-0 lead at the break.
After the interval the home side began to apply some pressure with some good attacking play but Newton's defence, led by stand-in captain Stefan Wolke, was well-organised and saw off the danger.
It was not long before the lead was extended with fly-half Cameron Fogden beating several tacklers before scoring under the posts and adding the conversion.
Good play from the Whites forwards then led to scrum-half Joe Kitto scoring with a trademark break from a ruck on the 22-metre line. Fogden added the extras.
Five minutes from time the scoring was rounded off against the run of play. Topsham's attacking efforts were once again spoiled and Wood broke away down the right to score his third of the match.
