No Mary Berry, but hopefully some Merry Blues

Does your Mum have a soggy bottom? Or maybe your Dad enjoys ganaching buns? Or even your Nan could be quite skilled at making soggy lady fingers....for a trifle!

If you answered yes to any of the above, or just want to have a bit of fun, then maybe the next event to be announced for the inaugural NUNC Summer Fete is perfect for you and your family!

We want to find the best baker in the NUNC family on the 26 June, Fete Day, in the first 'GREAT NUNC FAMILY BAKE OFF'!

And there is only one rule!

Please make sure whatever you bake is from scratch. This means no pre-made cake mixtures or shop bought pastry and icing. We are not looking for perfection; we are looking for creativity, presentation and fun! Obviously along with scrumptious taste!

We welcome multiple entries from one person. All we ask is that you pay the entry fee for each baked good. There are no restrictions on what you enter; it could be a classic Victoria Sponge, a Cream Horn, a Madeira Sponge or anything else baked that you can think of. There are two sections, SAVOURY & SWEET.

In return, we hope to bring you two special guest judges to see who the greatest NUNC Family baker is!

CATEGORIES

Obviously we want as many entries as possible from all of your budding bakers! Therefore we have two different age categories to go with the two taste sections.

Under 14: We understand that some of our younger bakers will need some assistance getting food in and out of the oven and using sharp knives, but we ask that Under 14's make it there own work as much as possible.

Adults: No explanation needed here, just go crazy!

SPECIAL NOTES:

Entry cost: £2 per entry.

Who can enter: It is open to the whole NUNC family.

HOW TO ENTER:

To make sure we have enough space on the day to keep all of your scrummy bakes safe, please register your interest with Isabel Rowe on ierowe93@gmail.com with the subject Great NUNC Family Bake Off or post on the Fete Events Page on the NUNC Page on Facebook.

Include your name, contact details and what you’re baking so we can keep you updated with the special details! Information on where to leave your bake on the day will be released closer to the time.

READY, SET, BAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!
