The club was formed in 1985 by three ex West Hull players Pete Jordan,Steve Fletcher and Billy McBride after the Eight Bells public house changed its name in 1983 to The Norland named after the ship that sailed from Hull to the Falklands war.Dave Jordan joined the club in 1987 and is our current Chairman/Secretary.In 1993 John Foster became the new landlord he had previously sailed on The Norland to the Falklands war.
The club started off in the Hull & District ARL sunday league before going into the saturday league.After winning the lower division titles we eventually gained promotion to the Premier league. After winning the premier league Norland joined the White Rose League when it was formed.After the White Rose league folded Norland joined the Yorkshire Premier League for three seasons before coming back to the Hull & District ARL Premier league.
The Norland Youth was formed in 1997 and amalgamated with Hastings youth in 1998 with ten youth teams playing from age U8s to U18s.
