Bugbrooke won 14-0
Team: Billy Baker, Jack Birch, Shaquille Chambers, Alasdair Grant, Thomas Hollick, Nick Humphry, George Irving, Thomas Jones, George Lefroy-Brooks, Dylan Martin, Jenson Osborne, Toby Page, Chaz Randall, Sean, Callum Shaikh, Jack Williams, Lucas Yeomans-Brown.
Despite showing a big improvement, and making a promising start, Men’s Own were eventually over-run by a Bugbrooke team which must surely be ranked amongst the best in the County. In cold but dry conditions Own defended admirably, dominated most of the scrums and line-outs and retained their shape well - but Bugbrooke were simply quicker to react to lose ball, tackled more effectively and attacked with lethal pace from wide positions.
Bugbrooke won 18-1
Tries: Thomas Jones
Men’s Own changed quite a few players for the second match but - despite the fresh faces - could do little to stem the tide. Bugbrooke seemed hungrier for the ball, often winning possession in situations they had no right to. And in spite of some determined runs by Billy Baker and Jenson Osborne, and a hard-won try from TJ, Men’s Own just couldn’t quite match Bugbrooke.
