Men’s Own lost 0-11
Mens Own suffered a Bonfire night hangover, as all the fireworks were provided by an excellent Towcester team. Despite last week’s excellent performance most of the Mens Own boys looked decidedly lethargic, and they never really recovered from an early Towcester onslaught which gave the visitors a commanding 7-0 half-time lead. And despite a slight improvement in the second half they never looked like troubling the scorer.

Game 2
Men’s Own lost 0-6
A better performance – especially in the first half - kept Mens Own within touching distance of Towcester for much of the game. But as the second half progressed, ineffective tackling, a lack of support for the ball carrier and some poor decisions in defensive areas eventually enabled the visitors to stretch their 2-0 half-time lead and run out comfortable winners. More mental and physical determination needed!
