Born 5th May 1939, Brian started playing for the Own just after he completed his National Service in the early 1960's. He was a 1st & 2nd team regular for over 20 years turning out at Dallington Park every weekend. After he finished playing he was for many years Match secretary sending out up to 80 postcards per week informing players which team they were playing for and at what time, in an era when telephones were not common and mobiles had not been invented! He was a superb club member carrying out maintenance, bar duties and decorating as well as being a keen tourist.

The club sends its deepest sympathy to his wife Jane and all his family and friends.

The funeral will be held at the St Mary's Church, Roade on Friday 2nd October at 4pm.
