Mens Own start this seasons Lewis Shield campaign in possibly the toughest way, taking on level 6 club Towcestrians RFC. Mens Own are looking forward to taking on the old rivals, as unfortunately this fixture just doesn't happen as much as I'm sure both clubs would like it to.

It has been 13 years since Mens Own made it to the Gardens to play in a final, The current squad would love to end that drought this season. Why can't they make it??

Changes to the squad this week. In the Forwards powerhouse prop Steve Ennew has to miss, as he was in the last cup winning team for Mens Own 13 yrs ago. Giving Guy McKeag another start at Tight Head. Injury to Jordan Blaikie means he has to miss out, a reshuffle in the pack see's Chris Gould moving back to number 8 and Jonny Squire coming back in to the team in the Row.

In the backs. Again Injury to Scrum Half Gareth Hughes, gives Alex Cairns a shot at 9. The unavailability of Kieran Stainton see' s Richard Leeding return to the wing.

The bench is made up of two 1st xv Debutants, Ryan Crook, who has come up through the club youth ranks, also Steve Manley is brought in for the first time. The much anticipated return of James Tilly see's him take up the 3rd bench spot.
