Northampton Spencer are actively searching for a new man at the top for 2016/7 season.

After an incredible 33 years as Chairman of Northampton Spencer Football Club, the legend that is Graham Wrighting has decided to step down from his role at the end of the current campaign. Taking over an ailing club that was to finish rock bottom of the United Counties League Division One, he soon turned things around, not only taking them back to the Premier, but winning the League title in 1992 and the League Knock-out Cup two seasons later. He also oversaw cup successes in lifting the NFA Senior Cup and the Daventry Charity Cup over the next few years. He will be a very hard act to follow, but things move on, so if anybody is interested or want more information on the role, then either ring 01604 718898 or direct message the club through either the official twitter site or through the clubs Facebook page.
I'm sure all those that played, worked or just watched his Spencer teams at all levels will have much admiration for the long-standing chairman and wish him well for the future.

Biography taken from a previous Spencer website (with numerous spelling mistakes corrected!!!)

Graham was invited to join the club as chairman when Spencer were at an all time low, having finished bottom of the UCL Division in 1981/82. Graham gradually stabilised to club, and brought in John Petts as manager, winning the Division One championship in 1984-85, regaining their Premier Division status where they have remained ever since.
Following promotion Gary Sargent was brought in as manager along with fellow ex pro Keith Bowen - Spencer were one of the most consistent clubs in the 1990's
Despite serious illness in the 90's Graham has held the chairmanship for 25years and has maintained Spencer as well respected club within the area and one that has persistently produced a string of youngsters that have progressed.
Graham's proudest moments with the club was winning the UCL Champions in 1991/92 and the Northants Senior Cup in 2005/06.
Before coming to Spencer, Graham was a good local Goalkeeper playing for the Park.
