Longridge 12 - 51 NBHS 1st XV
NBHS round off a successful week.
A development squad made an early start to journey south of the border to play Longridge.
The team that ran out onto the pitch this morning only had Robbie Anderson from the Thursday's Scottish School Plate starting 15 amongst its numbers and included debutants Darren Cowie and Kal Thorman. Sean Johnson took over the captaincy for the day.
Despite this NBHS played with a similar pace and power shown in that game and the scoreboard soon started ticking over.
1st half tries from Ewan Scott, Scott Nicholson, Kal Thorman and Adam Munro and one from Longridge gave a half time score of 22-7 in favour of the visitors.
For the second half Craig Spinks became the 3rd debutant of the day and regular NBHS captain reece Patterson took an unfamiliar place in the centres.
NBHS kept the tempo high for the rest of the game resulting in futher tries for Grant Cowe, Pete Jeffries, Sean Johnson, reece Patterson and Oli Chambers (2). Longridge never gave in and led by their number 7, who had an outstanding game, they scored a fantastic try in the last move of the day.
