NBRFC offers its congratulations to the 5 North Berwick boys who were in the Scotland under 18 squad who defeated Ireland in the international at Hamilton on Sunday. They are; Rhuriadh Smith, Henry Slater, Scott Burnside, Lewis Carmichael, Reece Paterson. To Lewis who scored 2 tries and to all of them we look forward to seeing you doing this at Murrayfield in the near future.

Current coaches to the NBHS senior team Duncan Mckay and Derek Grierson were watching the game - they together with president Jim Littlefair club members supporting the boys is what it is all about. "Well done to all involved over the years in coaching these talented young rugby players both at Mini and Youth levels.

Just this year, Rhuriadh is now at Oakham School and Henry is at Merchiston but the others remain pupils at North Berwick High School. Effectively this is 5 players from a state school playing in one Scotland International match. It is a record which the North Berwick rugby community can justifiably be very proud of.
