The Primary Rugby League squad offer opportunities for training and for playing in festivals for players from the age of 6 up to 10. Training is predominantly centred around a series of games which allow the players to develop the skills needed to play Rugby League, but within a fun environment.
Players are introduced to all aspects of the game starting with touch Rugby League from the age of 6 and then introducing modified and full contact around the age of 8.
Players are entitled to two free sessions, after which time they will need to formally sign up by completing the relevant club and RFL forms. They will also need to pay £35 to cover the costs of insurance for the player and which includes a gift from the club.
In a change to previous season, the club will require a direct debit to be set up for each player signing on. The fee is £4 per week to cover ongoing expenses, to provide opportunities to watch live Rugby League games and to invest in coaching and player development to take the club forward.
