N.E.W Ravens Rugby League Supporting Armed Forces Day on 29.06.13
N.E.W Ravens are supporting the national day by selling Army Style T-Shirts which also carry the Fallen Fusiliers charity logo. Club sponsors Focal Image have provided the shirts at cost enabling profits from sales to be donated to the Fallen Fusiliers.
“N.E.W Ravens have had an influx this season of ex and current service men and this seams a logical event to support. The other thing we really liked was that this day allows us to help the Fallen Fusiliers which help the families of killed or injured members of the Royal Fusiliers, our local midlands regiment” Said Gail Fry the N.E.W Ravens Treasurer.
“Our players and supporters have already brought in to the event by starting to wear their new t-shirts prior to the 29th June to help create awareness and it has had a good effect on club unity” Said Director of Rugby Jason Spafford.
On the 29th June N.E.W Ravens are away at Old Coventrians Rugby Club playing Coventry Dragons who have fully supported the idea and are looking forward to both the game and the visit of many Fusiliers who will be coming to spectate this fixture.
N.E.W Ravens would like to give as bigger cheque as possible to the Fallen Fusiliers, so we would like to offer these charity t-shirts to anybody interested. If you would like more info on the t-shirts or the match on the 29th June.
