Having not won a game in this league to date and Hucclecote having lost two on the bounce the visitors quietly fancied their chances of sneaking a win. Hucclecote welcomed back James Price to the fold after his brief spell with Cinderford, soon went in to a 10-0 lead not allowing the visitors time to settle. Once the visitors got into their stride they managed to pull them selves back into the game but could never really assert their stamp on things. The lineout was an even affair but as you would expect from a forest side, the pack was very strong and gave the home side a few problems in the scrummage as well as managing a few turnovers in the contact area. Hucclecote always had the edge in the backs and will have felt the a couple of scoring opportunities were missed but will need to be more clinical if they whish to climb the table. Bream will be pleased with this performance although not the result and will hopefully take some confidence into their next games and with more luck that illusive win will materialise.
With a "come dine with me" on the cards for the evening, no bar time was allowed so it was straight home and out for the dinner date with the "clan" . This Saturday I'm off to mill lane where Brockworth welcome Old Colstonians in a Gloucester Divisions 1 encounter to "badgers tump" .
