Crusaders through to East Shield Final

2 years ago By Graham Edwards

Hard fought but convincing win over Centurions.

North Herts Crusaders are through to the East Shield Final after a well deserved win in the semi-finals against a strong St Albans side on Saturday.

Charlie Parkhouse was the star player for the home side after he ran in three classy long distance tries. The other tries were scored by Jared Scott, Bailey Burton, Ash Mitchell and Ollie Adams.

The Crusaders' rampaging forwards dominated their opponents and set the platform for the fast running backs in a blistering start to the game - the home side lead by 22 - 0 after just 17 minutes of play!

St Albans put in a good start to the second half but Crusaders hit back with two late tries to seal the emphatic victory. Dylan Parsons slotted over 5 goals during the game to make the final score 38 - 16 in favour of the home team.

Details of the Final will be announced on here shortly but our opponents in the Final will be Brentwood Eels after they beat Southend Spartans by 28-22 in the other semi-final.
