The future's bright

The dark winter nights have just got a whole lot lighter.

Earlier this week new floodlights were installed at the Tudor Lodge. The old 400w, dull, yellow, sodium lights were replaced by fine new 1000w, state of the art, white floodlights.

This means the training / coaching possibilities are greatly improved due to the better visibility. You'll actually be able to see the weight dropping off and the skills improving.

The cost of the new equipment was around £3,500. Thanks to the efforts of Gary Pugh and Phil Clarke (RFU Development officer for Manchester) we secured £2,000 with a Neighbourhood Sports Fund grant from Manchester City Council toward the cost.

You can see Brian Stott here picking up the cheque from Lord Mayor of Manchester.

Have you seen these?
