With only the bare bones of a team North Manchester traveled to Ormskirk more in hope than expectations. With a load of cry off's and unavailability the game was in the balance before a ball had been kicked.
North Manchester 1st team took one for the club and they stood up like the men we have come to expect and respect. 13 men traveled, although 14 were on the team list, not a complete front row, 35 miles of motorway and a long, hard game to play at the end of it.
The first team gave a good show, with all but one of the home teams try's coming through the middle. Ormskirk played to the two man overlap advantage for every score, bar one.
North managed to ask questions of Ormskirk and when Issac pop up over the line for an unconverted try against the full squad of home players, questions will be asked back at their training ground
back home in Manchester the powers that be will ask their own questions, set out their stall at training and selection and put things right in time for the Cup game against eagle next week
