After a dire first half, the Rams ran out comfortable 6-1 winners and in Plummet Line's only other game they lost 7-2 against Holmfield who themselves conceded nine against last week's opponents St Columbas. Therefore anything other than a home win would be a major surprise.
It would be fanciful, given the confines of the pitch, to expect a repeat of the superb football we saw in the first half last week and whilst the passing and movement were of a high standard, the only slight disappointment was the relative lack of clear chances created. It was also rather ironic that, after such a dominant performance, it took a freak free kick coupled with a goalkeeping howler to be the difference between a win and a draw .
After Saturday's game a sterner test awaits with the visit of Premier Division side Calder '76.
