Due to the absence of this year’s Autumn Internationals and also taking into consideration the lessons learnt from the disruption caused by adverse weather conditions during the early part of last year’s season, it was agreed that this year’s Senior and Intermediate NORTH WALES Cups would be run in tandem with the SWALEC Plate and Bowl.

The draw for the North Wales competition was made before the SWALEC draw was released in order that some ties could be completed in early September.

All SWALEC fixtures MUST and always will take precedence over and any North Wales Cup ties. The LCCMC will only expect NW Cup ties to be completed on the stipulated dates when both clubs concerned are free of SWALEC commitments.

As local clubs are eliminated from the National Competitions they WILL become available to play in the North Wales regional cups with ties only being completed when both clubs are free.

Unplayable NW Cup ties will be postponed and moved to the next SWALEC Cup date. Clubs who are fortunate to have flood lights can organise an alternative date providing that the visiting team agrees and that the LCCMC are informed in advance to confirm the date.

May we kindly remind HOME clubs to contact the appropriate referee authority as soon as possible in order that referees maybe allocated in plenty of time.
